Suzanne Hutchins discovered her passion for cooking at an early age with great food being a big part of every day life in the Hutchins household. After studying commercial cookery, she quickly moved through the ranks as a chef in some of Melbourne’s most renowned restaurants. Her passion and constant want for more learning lead her to compete in many competitions.
Her most memorable of these were Les Toques Blanches where she won apprentice of the year and an award for excellence. Suzanne was honoured to be selected to represent Australia in South Africa at Les Chaine des Rotissiers.
Suzanne was then given the opportunity to work in London under Anton Mossiman at the Belfrey Club, and at the Dorchester Hotel where she honed her skills in classical French cuisine. Upon returning to Melbourne Suzanne worked under Joe Vargetto at #8, to whom she attributes her work ethic.
Suzanne is now heading up the kitchen at Little Creatures Dining Hall where she uses all of her experience to produce home style food.
