Lindy Burns

Master of Ceremonies
Feast 2009 will be hosted by vibrant ABC 774 Radio presenter Lindy Burns. Born in Wollongong, raised in Newcastle, Lindy escaped to Melbourne in the early 80s where she learned the intricacies of AFL football and how to turn right from the left hand lane.

After returning to Newcastle in 1989, Lindy joined the ABC in 1990 as a sports broadcaster on 1233's "All in the Game". From there, she has fulfilled a number of roles including sports commentator with Triple J and presenting the state-wide "Sunday Show".

Deborah Conway

Singer
"Blessed with an angelic voice, deft at lyrical wordplay and armed with a seemingly inexhaustive melody well, Conway creates songs which become best friends for life." Daily Telegraph

From her mid 1980s debut with seminal band Do Re Mi (and their chart topping single Man Overboard), through film and stage appearances, to an extensive solo career, Deborah Conway remains a constant beacon for high quality, creative independence. After a stint in the UK Conway released My Third Husband, Exquisite Stereo, PC (The Songs of Patsy Cline) and Summertown.

Along the way Conway also starred in the stage show Always .Patsy Cline; collaborated with classical composer George Dreyfus, Paul Grabowsky's Australian Art Orchestra and Brisbane band George. Most recently she has devised and produced Broad.

Denise Scott

Comedian
Since moving from Albury Wodonga to Melbourne in the late 1980's, Denise Scott has been making people laugh with her blend of personal stories and topical observations. A self-professed expert on family life, Denise has been treading the boards for longer that she cares to remember, but it is this wealth of experience that makes her one the country's strongest live comic performers. In 2009, Denise will bring 'All That Happened at Number 26' to the stage in a brand new solo show.
"Denise Scott...only has to look as if she's going to say something and everyone laughs" (Sunday Herald Sun, Melbourne)

Zoe Ladyman

Sommelier

Zoe Ladyman is currently the co-owner and sommelier of Libertine. She was formerly the sommelier at Ezard and previously at Terence Conran's Bibendum in London. In 2006 she was awarded Wine Selector magazine's 2006 Sommelier of the Year award, and in 2007 Libertine won Best Short Wine List, The Age Good Food Guide 2007.

Zoe Ladyman and Nick Creswick own and run Libertine. A young couple, they are dedicated to their craft of providing a superb meal alongside an approachable yet indulgent service experience. They love classic and traditional French cuisine and aim to bring back an old-fashioned style of respectful and responsive service. Libertine proudly supports produce suppliers that are quality driven and use the best game, seafood and vegetables available each season.

The wines on offer in the restaurant form a small eclectic collection from around the world, always of exceptional quality at every price point, catering for those just starting their exploration of wine, as well as those seeking a very special or rare bottle. Libertine opened in September 2005 and converted a tiny little clapped-out Chinese takeaway shop into a restaurant of acclaim from both diners and critics. Both owners have been celebrated for their unique combination of talent and skill, the chef and the sommelier. Their food and wine matching combinations draw both from tradition and an intimate knowledge of their subject.
